Cheesy Ensaymada25 - 30 mins 5 - 10 people
You can never go wrong with extra cheese on Ensaymada.
4 1/4 cups, Flour
1 tbsp, Honey
3/4 cup, Water
1/2 cup, Eden Original
1 tbsp, Instant yeast
1 tbsp, Powdered milk
6, Egg yolks
1 1/4 cup, Sugar
1 cup, Butter, unsalted
1/2 cup, Butter, salted
1 cup, Eden Melt Sarap, grated
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add grated Eden Original and mix.
In a small bowl, mix honey and water. Add honey mixture, yeast, powdered milk, yolks and 3/4 cup sugar to the flour mixture. Mix with an electric mixer to form a dough.
Transfer dough to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Leave dough to rise for around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once dough doubles in size, separate dough into 1/2 cup portions.
Arrange dough portions on a greased baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and leave to dough in size for around 4 hours. Once dough has doubled in size, bake at 350F for 15 minutes or until slightly brown. Remove from oven and leave to cool.
Prepare topping by beating unsalted butter with 1/2 cup sugar. Spread mixture on ensaymada buns and top with grated Eden cheese.
