Cheesy Lugaw30+ mins 5 - 10 people
Plain lugaw gets an extra creamy kick with Eden cheese.
2 tbsp, Canola oil
2 tbsp, Onion, chopped
2 tbsp, Garlic, chopped
2 tbsp, Ginger, julienned
1 1/2 tbsp, Fish sauce
1/2 cup, Long-grain rice
4 cups, Chicken stock
1/2 piece, Chicken bouillon cube
to taste, Salt
1, Egg, hardboiled
for garnish, Spring onions
for garnish, Garlic, toasted
1/4 cup, Eden Original, shredded
In a pot, heat oil and saute garlic, onions and ginger. Add patis and bring to a boil.
Add rice grains and stir. Add the stock, mix then bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 30-40 minutes while stirring constantly or cook until mixture thickens to your desired consistency.
Add chicken bouillon cube, mix well and adjust seasoning as necessary. Top with shredded Eden cheese, sliced hard boiled eggs, fried garlic, and spring onions.
Serve and enjoy!
