Teriyaki Fried Wings30+ mins 5 - 10 people
Serve these savory Asian-inspired teriyaki chicken wings with a side of garlic mayo.
1/2 kg, Chicken wings
1 1/4 tbsp, Salt
1/2 tsp, Black pepper
1 cup and 1 tsp, Cornstarch
1/4 cup, Water
1/4 cup, Honey
1/2 cup, Ketchup
1 piece, Ginger, minced
2 pieces, Garlic, minced
1/4 cup and 1 tsp, Sesame oil
2 tbsp, Mirin
1 cup, Soy Sauce
1/4 cup, Green onions, finely chopped
1 cup, Eden Mayo
Season chicken wings with salt and pepper. Set aside for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, coat wings in cornstarch.
In a deep cooking pot, heat oil and deep fry chicken wings for 10 minutes or until chicken is crispy. Drain chicken on a plate lined with paper towels.
In a pan, pour water, honey, ketchup, ginger, 1 tsp garlic and sesame oil. Mix well. Add soy sauce and 1 tsp cornstarch to the mixture and stir. Leave to simmer until sauce becomes thick.
Add 1/2 cup water and cornstarch. Mix well and leave to boil. Add soy sauce and cornstarch to the mixture and stir. Leave to simmer until sauce becomes thick. Once sauce is thick, coat fried chicken wings. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions.
Prepare the dip by mixing 1 tsp garlic, green onion, and 1/4 cup oil. Mix then add Eden Mayo. Continue mixing until the consistency is smooth.
Serve wings with Eden Mayo dip and enjoy!
