Calamares with Cheesy Mayo Dip

Creamy, cheesy Eden Mayo is the perfect dip for crispy calamares!


1/2 lb, Squid, cleaned and sliced into rings

3/4 cup, All purpose flour

1 cup, Egg, beaten

1, Egg white, beaten until soft peaks

3/4 cup, Beer

1 tsp, Salt

1/2 tsp, Pepper

2 cups, Oil

1 cup, Eden Mayo

1 tbsp, Garlic, minced

1 tbsp, Sugar

1 tbsp, Lemon juice

1/2 tsp, White pepper

Product Used:


In a bowl, combine squid, salt, and ground black pepper then mix well. Dredge the squid in flour then dip in batter.

Heat oil in a pot. When the oil is hot enough, deep-fry the squid until the color of the coating turns brown, for around 2 to 3 minutes in medium heat. Do not overcook the squid.

Remove the fried squid from the cooking pot and transfer in a plate lined with paper towels.

Mix Garlic Mayo Dip by combining Eden Mayo, garlic, sugar, lemon juice and white pepper in a bowl. Serve with calamares.
