Calamares with Cheesy Mayo Dip25 - 30 mins 5 - 10 people
Creamy, cheesy Eden Mayo is the perfect dip for crispy calamares!
1/2 LB SQUID, SLICED INTO RINGS,
3/4 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR,
1 CUP EGG, BEATEN,
1 EGG WHITE, BEATEN UNTIL SOFT PEAKS,
3/4 CUP BEER,
1 TSP SALT,
1/2 TSP PEPPER,
2 CUPS OIL,
1 CUP EDEN MAYO,
1 TBSP GARLIC, MINCED,
1 TBSP SUGAR,
1 TBSP LEMON JUICE,
1/2 TSP WHITE PEPPER,
Sprinkle the squid rings with salt and ground black pepper. Dredge the squid rings in flour then dip in batter.
Heat oil in a pot over medium heat and deep-fry the squid rings for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Remove the fried squid rings from the cooking pot and transfer in a plate lined with paper towels.
For garlic mayo dip, combine Eden Mayo, garlic, sugar, lemon juice, and white pepper in a bowl.
