Cheesy Mechado

This mealtime classic fills you up with a delicious pork stew!


1⁄2 kg, Pork with fat, cut into chunks

2 cups, Tomato sauce

1 pc, Onion, chopped

5 cloves, Garlic

3 pcs, Bay leaves (laurel)

4 pcs, Medium potatoes, quartered then fried

1 pc, Carrot, cut into cubes then fried

1 pc, Bell pepper, sliced

1/2 cup, Eden Cheese, cut into cubes

2 cups, Beef stock

1/4 cup, Soy sauce

1 tbsp, Fish sauce

To taste, Salt and pepper

3 tbsp, Cooking oil

Product Used:


In a pot, heat oil and saute garlic and onions. Add pork and fish sauce then continue sauteing until color turns to brown.

Pour tomato sauce, soy sauce, bay leaves and beef stock then simmer until tender. Add water if necessary.

Add carrots, potatoes, Eden cheese cubes and bell pepper.Simmerfor3minutes. Seasonwithsaltand pepper according to taste. Serve.
