The classic spicy and creamy Laing gets an extra cheesy kick with Eden.
25 TARO LEAVES (DAHON NG GABI)
1/2 KILO PORK, CUBED
2 CUPS COCONUT MILK
1 BIG HEAD GARLIC, MINCED
2 SMALL ONIONS, MINCED
1/2 CUP SMALL DRIED SHRIMPS, SOAKED
6 CHILI PEPPER, MINCED
1/2 CUP EDEN CHEESE, SLICED
3 TBSP OIL
1 TBSP GINGER, GRATED
Wash dried taro leaves, then separate from the stalk. Cut into 1" pieces.
In a pan, saute garlic, onion, ginger, and pork. Stir and add the dried shrimp, hot chili pepper, and taro stalks. Cook until the stalks are tender.
Add in taro leaf. Mix well. Pour in coconut milk and cook until it releases oil.
Add Eden Cheese and simmer for 2 minutes. Serve hot.
