Monggo Guisado with Cheese5 - 10 mins 5 - 10 people
Grated Eden cheese is stirred into a hot bowl of monggo for a creamy finishing touch!
1 CUP WHOLE MONGO BEANS
4 CUPS WATER
2 TBSP COOKING OIL
5 GARLIC CLOVES, MINCED
1 ONION, CHOPPED
3 RED TOMATOES, CHOPPED
1/4 KG PORK STRIPS
1/2 TSP SALT
1/4 TSP PEPPER
1/4 CUP EDEN CHEESE, GRATED
1 CUP MALUNGGAY LEAVES
Soak the mongo beans in water and stir. Remove the floating particles.
In a saucepan, sauté garlic, onion, and tomatoes. Add in pork strips.
Pour in the beans with water. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer and stir occasionally until the beans are tender.
Stir in Eden cheese and m leaves. Serve hot.
